Morphine

|| Noun ||

She was in pain and she wanted to feel better. She would do anything, just to feel free again. He took the pain away even though it was only temporary, and she latched onto him as if only he could end her sufferings. Feeding on his sweet nothings and hypocrisy, like a drug she couldn’t kick. He was the morphine to her sickness, slowly draining her of herself till she was controlled and just a remain of her former shell. When he left he took away with him all that she gave, leaving her screaming and crying out for more of him to take away her pain.
