|| Noun ||
I have been looking up at the stars a little more than usual lately. They remind me of a certain night when you asked me about my fondness for them. I told you stars give me peace. They fascinate me: how near they seem when in actual fact they are thousands of miles away. What I didn’t tell you, was how much they remind me of you. I am here and they are there; I am here and you are there. But despite this unreachable distance, it brings me comfort to know you are in your place of dwelling — shining among those constellations, right where you belong.
Are they stars because they twinkle, or do they twinkle because they are stars?
“She doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night.” – Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare
