I hope you never become one of us. I hope you never have to think too deeply of things to find their underlying meanings, or to know the side of the world everybody is clamouring to get out of. I hope you take things in stride. I hope you retain that naiviety in you. I hope you never have to lose whole chunks of yourself only to gain those discarded from others. A writer isn’t a piece of art; it is the makings of scrap metals and the healing of infected cuts.
