Clean Slate


It does seem as though growing up means finding out who you can depend readily and who will abandon you in your times of need. I want to and will do anything to start over again. Even if it means losing what little I still have in my hands because what’s still bound to me comes with strings attached and timely reminders of the mistakes I have unknowingly made.

The truth is, there’s no restart button. Just because you wish to, doesn’t mean you can wipe clean the marks and use a new white canvas. The only thing you can do is paint the original canvas white, covering up the markings underneath it. But somewhere along the way the paint’s gonna peel,  and then darling, the hideously grotesque markings will still show.
