When The Curtain Closes Rave

Persons on platforms that heed another act off stage

Learns from grace the tragedy of chasing fames

Judges observing our directions of the play

One should exeunt in faith, when the curtain closes rave

Actors who choose to kiss the spotlight others dictate

Are thrown into shadows hardest to escape

Reliant on inconstant praise

One should exeunt in faith, when the curtain closes rave

Working men who stumbles on familiar phrase

Can no longer refute what has already been said

Moves on and comforts in mistakes

One should exeunt in faith, when the curtain closes rave

As the last act dawns and fades

Flowers and the last bows rains

Remember those we act in sync and smile for the take

One should exeunt in faith, when the curtain closes rave

Friends are hard to come by, and harder to keep. Especially after the break and the lines have been blurred by their past relationship, how can one say that she’s over when she’s bound to him in every way? I think the pitfall comes not when one withdraws and grieves, but when one stays and overtly trusts that feelings will fade.

” I began to wonder what life would be like if I dropped the act and began to trust that being myself would be enough to get the love I needed. ” – Scary Close, Donald Miller
